This has transitioned from long distance running and backpacking to long hikes and kayaking.

Tell us about your family.
I have two wonderful (now adult) daughters with professional careers and two grandsons who have endured the pandemic like champions. My second husband and I go back and forth between visits to family and our two homes in Placerville and Moab. We also work together as a team on our Donation Art Project.
What is your most vivid memory from high school?
Mr. Newman's after-school program for designing resource-renewable communities. Also the kindness of teachers such as Mr. Bougerie, Mr. Smith (art) and Bev Anchen. But also the unkindness of teachers such as Miss Midgley.

Bill Newman - Algebra II and Physics
