Dallas, Texas; the Rocky Mountains, Colorado,; San Francisco and Berkeley, California; now, Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico
What careers have you pursued?
Fashion design, teaching - adult education, and writing
What are your hobbies?
Exploring the Yucatán, playing with Trixie (my little doggy,), swimming (almost everyday), and always, sewing!
What has been your most memorable trip?
A toss between the old days of doing shows in NYC and 3 weeks in Cape Town, South Africa (would love to return and also visit Joburg)
Tell us about your family.
Juliana, the first grandchild in my big Catholic family, she is an artist living in Helsinki with her husband and my 3 year old granddaughter, Frances.
Sean is a "plant whisperer" (gardener extraordinaire), excellent sailor and photographer who lives in Marin County.
What is your most vivid memory from high school?
When my skirt fell off. (I cried!)

If retired, what keeps you occupied/productive?
Writing; learning about the beautiful culture of the Meixcan people and learning Spanish; gardening in the tropics
What has been the most satisfying thing in your life so far?
My work as an artisan. I am blessed with a lifelong love of all things textile, I love the hum of an industrial sewing machine and also the intricacies of hand and machine knitting. Recently, this has taken the form of writing. Anyone know a good publisher? My first book is complete.
